Some dealers were removing the nose cones and spoilers and reverting them back to regular Roadrunners because of poor sales.

Yes, I wasn’t thinking very far out when I purchased my 1963 Silver Blue, Corvette Stingray Coupe from the original owner in 1964. But I still have it today, it’s been garaged all of its life, and has only 70,000 miles showing on the odometer.

My brother had a 1968 Road Runner, blue, 383 engine with 8 track player.

I seriously doubt it. The large decal was probably an option.
The wing is still there.Its just melted over the rear bumper as they were aluminum.
You can bet its being rebuilt.

70k would take care of all the pet projects I have in pieces.
I have done a lot of fixing and preservation myself. However I don’t have a shop with a lift and some help. Hence the slow go.
Think I saw that thing on American Pickers. The owner wouldn’t sell it.
My dad professionally restored high-end cars. He always said that you can fix bashed up and beaten panels but rust was always with you.
I can relate, I am restoring my 67 GTO that I have owned for over 30 years. I don’t have the space for a lift unless I raise the shop roof.
