New Jersey has chosen a Danish company to build a wind energy project off the coast of Atlantic City that could power half a million homes.

The state Board of Public Utilities on Friday chose Ørsted to build a project that would generate 1,100 megawatts of electricity.

The company says the work could be completed by 2024.

The BPU said the project will cause an estimated monthly bill increase of $1.46 for residential customers, $13.05 for commercial customers and just over $110 for industrial customers. […]

Murphy, a Democrat, wants New Jersey to produce all its energy from clean sources by 2050.

Yawn.

Another Neocon rant about how we need to involve ourselves in wars against our national interests.

Couched in dishonesty and false assumptions.

It’s all about the money. I thought these clean sources were also supposed to be cheaper. Does that mean they lied?

Could...would.

The early adopters of these ugly high maintenance giant bird guillotines have already faced reality: they don’t work. They require tons of upkeep. Their output is unreliable and a fraction of the claims made.

It is hilarious to watch NJ arrive late to the party in their polyester as usual thinking they’re part of the fashionable green set.

Hmmm, somehow in the cost estimates, the costs of disposing of the used out carcasses of these mechanical idiocies (after their lifetime of a decade or so) is not included.

Anyone who believes these cost increases to their bills have been smoking funny things.

They’re still pushing it. NPR flogs the crap out of ‘renewable’ energy.

I guess there are no American companies that can do this. We need to give the Danish manufacturers our money.

Meanwhile, Murphy is a loud voice against Make America Great Again

So this prick "wants" it? Who the hell does he think he is? Democrats: if it's fixed then break it.

Certain individuals make a lot of money from wars. They also let a portion of it grease the hands of the politicians. There is a lot of money to be made in the shedding of blood. AS long as it is not your blood that is being shed.

They call it “renewable energy” because the devices need constant renewing to keep operating.

The sliding scale of monthly increases should ensure that commercial and industrial accounts will flee to other states, thereby leaving residential customers on the hook for future increases.
