It’s too late for Georgia, Atlanta is already over run.

Seems like more and more, the ex-communists are getting things right—and we in the West, getting things wrong.

We’re talking about Tblisi here, not Atlanta.

Why are our tax dollars being spent to undermine the biblical values of other countries? They should kick us out of our embassy and turn it into an old folks home or some other useful purpose.

I’ll add Georgia to the list of still sane countries to consider when the SHTF.

Why is the US doing anything other than promoting trade and tourism? The rest of the world knows our culture. They can pick and choose which parts they like.

I believe that the breakdown of western society is the work of communist agents who were planted here in the 20th century by the Soviets. It is ironic that their plan to destroy us is working while the former Soviet Union becomes more like what we used to be.

This is a risk of a main qualification for becoming ambassador being the size of your donation to the winning candidate. Hopefully President Trump has cleared out any egregious propagandists he inherited, possibly like this one.

“Why are our tax dollars being spent to undermine the biblical values of other countries? “

Our state Department doesn’t work for us.

Obviously the Ambassador is clueless and needs to be replaced.

When our country flies our flag, I’m proud. When our country flies the gay flag, I’m embarrassed.

It’s one thing to leave gays alone to do their thing, it’s quite another to promote them internationally to people who are traditionally and/or sensibly opposed to them.

I saw County instead of Country and was so hoping that Georgia and Atlanta had come to their senses. I should've known better.

Considering Trump made it his policy to decriminalize homosexuality across the entire world by using diplomatic pressure, I don’t think he did.

Trump was always soft on the Homosexual agenda. He wanted DADT repealed in the 1990s.

I was in the Republic of Georgia in 2004. They are a very religious country. Georgia refers to St George, the Saint that converted them.

They have a church for every day of the year and each church is assigned a day to pray for the country. This tradition started centuries before Communism.

In Soviet times, the Soviets tried to tear the churches down. After many mysterious accidents and deaths (really- not sabotage), no one would show up for work. So the Soviets, closed them up and ignored them for 70 years. Unfortunately for the Soviets, all of the churches are built on important locations, e.g. hill tops, so everyone could see them day after day.

About 7-10% of the population is Muslim. I asked if the Muslims caused any problems. The answer was, "No, they know that this is a Christian country and we will deal with them."

A very poor country. Their equivalent of the Pentagon was crumbling concrete. I went to their national museum that holds their national treasures and artifacts. I saw a collection of jewelry that rivals the English Crown Jewels (Yes, I have seen the Crown Jewels.), but they were unable to afford to heat the building.

Very friendly, many people stopped us to talk about America. Gun friendly, after the fall of the Soviet Union, they started opening gun shops.
