The wives in your parents’ generation were overwhelmingly virgins when married.
The divorce rate was around 1% then.
In one generation, that expectation disappeared and the divorce rate hit 50%.
It’s not a coincidence and the younger generation is figuring that out. This may be the first time you’re hearing that virgin wives are highly desirable, but it won’t be the last.
These traditions didn’t rise arbitrarily. They arose because they work to create successful families and civilizations.

The risk in the 40s is higher, but the idea its incredibly risky is nonsense.
Yes you have a 1% chance of down syndrome vs .000008% when a woman is in her 40s.. but its still a low risk.
I say this as someone whos had a child when both of us were in our 40s... the doctors fear mongered every step of the way... we have a healthy and happy little girl. My aunt as well didn’t have her son until later in life, perfectly healthy.
The ship has “sailed” at menopause, until then its still floating.
I have had children in ever decade since the 90s. Yes in their 40s has higher risk, but hardly is it the end of the road.

As the first marriage for both of us, I married my number 10 trophy wife, and we will celebrate 45 years a week from now. This man is an idiot if he cannot get over this trivial disparity. My wife had more notches on the bedstead than I did by a factor of ten. After all of that experimentation, she picked me, and that is quite the ego boost.
I learned long ago that people have a finite amount of energy.
Not just one type of energy, but a bunch of different kinds.
Sex takes energy. Making children takes energy. Raising children takes energy.
Many people do not have enough energy to do it all. So if they use up their sexual energy, it is much harder for them to make children. If they succeed in that, they are just husks, with barely enough energy to scrape by.
And there are more problems.
From about the knees to the navel is the coliform bacterial zone. A collection of assorted bacteria, and the real reason to wash your hands after going to the restroom. Each culture is unique to the person, almost like a fingerprint.
When people have sex, they exchange vast amounts of skin bacteria. Their coliform culture changes and grows in the number of kinds of bacteria in it.
Some of those who have sex with many other people develop supercultures, so that when they have sex with a virgin, the latter is almost certain to develop an infection.
Maybe he is concerned when started seeing your phone number in the men’s restrooms..........
You better check your calendar.
My parents came of age in the late 60s and 70s... they weren’t primarily virgins.
Have to go back to my GRANDPARENTS era to find that one my friend.

There are perfectly sound, logical reasons to be concerned about an unusually large number of past sex partners for either gender. This woman did what she did, past is past and she can be forgiven for that but there are lasting consequences of such promiscuity. She’s going to have problems forming attachments for one, and will always be comparing the current one to some past guy. Then there are the rampant STD’s. If the guy who’s having a problem with this has been having sex with her, it’s now his problem, though. Her promiscuity and the sum total of exposure to disease as a result is now his, too.
Oh and for the record, they weren’t all virgins even during my Grandparents Era either... go have an honest talk with someone in their 80s and you’ll learn a lot.
Yes, risks were different, if she got pregnant, you married her... or she got shipped off to a “a cousins house” (convent) until the child was born a put into the home or adopted....
But don’t kid yourself that stuff wasn’t going on prior to the wedding night.
He should be wondering if he will be just another notch on her belt, as she discards him for another, more thrilling experience.
If he doesn’t measure up to her standards, he’s out and some other dude will be in real soon.
