Thank you.

This is why I say, "no more pets". It's so heartbreaking. And yet, the joy they give me it's hard to mean it.

It is heartbreaking. I still miss my rusty. But there’s always another animal in need of a family. God created some animals not to live as long for a reason.

Oh Lysie! I am so sorry. I know exactly what you mean about not getting another pet. We lost our sweet Yorkie, Misty, almost 5 years ago and every so often I think about getting another pet but I don't want to go through that anymore.

Exactly my words yesterday when my 10 year old Yorkie was diagnosed with Cushings after seeing a new vet who immediately recognized the symptoms and ran the test that our old vet never picked up on. She’s had the symptoms for years. Her prognosis isn’t good because of it being untreated so long and the spreading of the cancer. I was devastated yesterday and still do not intend to go through the pain of losing another dearly beloved pet again. It’s just more than I can bare at this point in my life. I’m so sorry, Lysie. There’s nothing I can say that will help you through this sad time in your life. :(. There’s not much of anything that I can think of that is more awful to have to endure. I am glad for you both that she didn’t suffer though. That should give you some comfort at least.

Oh lysie, sending hugs.

Pets, they come into your life and steal your heart then they leave.

(((((((Lysie))))))))))))
I’m so very sorry for your loss.
I know you are in pain of the loss right now,
but consider adopting an older pet.

They are often put down, because nobody wants them.
I adopted a little long haired dachshund that nobody wanted.
She was 12 when I got her, and she lived to be 17.
Her name was Gretchen.

She was my constant companion, and LOVED riding in the car.
She died peacefully in her sleep, and I was so lost for awhile!

But I look at it this way, we can’t be so afraid of dyeing (no matter whose) that we forget how to live!

Fear only gives the gift of wasted time.

Your kitty gave you love and good memories, and friends to grieve with you.
That’s a great gift!

I hope to see you later tonight, ‘cuz my pain is bugging me.
A nap on my “magic sofa” is in order!
Later...
