hoosiermama how much does one REALLY care about America if they can’t even start the process of citizenship!!! These peop,e were educated here probably at a VERY REDUCED rate THEN given a high paying job right out of college AND they were not thankful enough to even renew their visa OR start their citizenship process SEND THEM HOME!!! We have plenty of engineers that would LOVE their jobs!!!

I know exactly who you are referring too and I didn't feel sorry for them one bit! They needed to respect our country and become citizens. I also say where was the human resource people pushing to move forward on citizenship? I say send them back. We have many good engineers here that are legal.

The company I worked for depended on the best of engineers and they paid for many to attend college. During the down times they picked up many top engineers from other companies who were laying off. Our company hired during that time and told the engineers to come up with new ideas during the slow time. AND apparently it worked because we were considered a small company in 2001 and when I left we were one of the BEST known ALL over the world. Our engineers designed parts on the spot to the measurements and needs of the people in need. AND we got the parts to them in 3 days or less anywhere in the world.

Couldn’t agree more. The same thing happens in hospitals. Student Coke here. Get an education and stay. I’m sure many intend to go home but the chance to make big bucks is just too enticing. I know two who got married, bought houses at the trendy location in town, drove the biggest and best cars. (Banks apparently don’t ask about citizenship ). Just never wanted to go through the process of citizenship until an incident happened. Guess the government better make sure incidents happen. One went home to visit sick parents and wasn’t allowed back in. Visa had run out. Not certain what happened to other But money suddenly took care of it.
Am certain this type of thing goes on all over the country. Over staying student visa is not the same as walking across the Rio The laws must be inforced by all.

I’m bringing up the over stay of visa because I believe that will be one of his bargaining chips. That’s the type of people we want in the country. Don’t be surprised if they are granted some type of special favors in exchange for the river jumpers who are drain on society being deported immediately.

The factory workers I mentioned earlier often work a few years and return with their nest eggs. Many are too stupid or not trusting of government to go the legitimate routes and ask for green cards. Their mules take their money instead. We must do a better job of “educating” them what is expected.

Imo it’s the scammers who bring them here who should be at top of arrest lists.

A Word I've heard is that an ObamaHoldover in DHS leaked the schedule/locations of sweeps which put ICE folks in distinct jeopardy, this delay is mostly because of that leak.

I'd kinda like to have a face-to-face with that individual (along with most of ICE) if that deal is anywhere close to accurate.
