Facebook created by the deep-state for mind control, Zuckerberg never wrote code - just a puppet.

Worth reading. The claim is that Mark Zuckerberg was just a puppet for the deep-state that wanted to control minds - all with stolen tech, that others put together. Claims of "many many" crimes - and now they're deliberately trying to destroy FB via anti-trust laws, break it up and become even more rich.

Sounds so unbelievable right? /s

After I read it, which many here haven’t, there were a lot of things like this that add up to the behavior we see everyday.

Maybe, as we see this power crazed sociopath in action, the theory rings as possible. I’ve been accosted just for speculating...

You’re the one that keeps bringing up DARPA and the CIA. STOP LYING.

You also studiously ignore my point that PEOPLE turned FB into the ultimate personal information source. Not FB. FACTS, learn them.

“I have seen so many illegal actions of Facebook that I am indeed complicit with the crimes.”

Yes. We all know this. Facebook is weak and is 100% dependent on innocent users. Thankfully, people are getting bored with Facebook. Facebook, Pinterest and Linkedin are losing customers: that’s why they force you to sign up to view pages.

Trump’s victory in Nov. 2016 was a bomb that permanently blemished social media. I remember when during the debates Trump told Hugh Hewitt that no one listens to his radio show. And yes, Hewitt has decreased listeners since then.

"I work in big tech - I know what is possible and it is frightening me."

Yeah me too, although I'd say 'concerned sincerely', not frightened.

Have you seen Jordan Peterson's new project?

We know big tech, especially social media, is sleeping with the lefties, just as education and media and academia are and have been for a loooooooong time, and these nutbag social media employees who turn into their leadership are products of their propaganda education, no disagreement that it's infected, and it's a serious infection.

I think where we are different is merely on the level of our emotional response. For various reasons, I believe, when it comes to this, the US has the flu (and probably always will,) and you believe it's plausibly and perhaps probably terminal cancer.

But we both believe the US is sick.

How strong is our immune system? How deadly is the disease/infection? What's the prognosis? You are frightened, I am only sincerely concerned. My life is not made negative by it.

America will tolerate a lot of crap before they put a stop to something. But as I think Winston said 'The American people generally do the right thing, but only after they have tried everything else.'

So I won't argue that the patient isn't sick, only that ... in part, the patient has always been sick ... and this isn't going to be what kills him, nor will it be the thing that weakened him so much that another normally non-lethal thing killed him.

Be a warrior, but be a happy warrior. We are sick, have always been, but we have a strong immune system. It's always at work, but only shows itself to the worldly senses when things get really really out of hand. Right now, there is only one 'really.'

No - you came across bs, posted the bs, then defended the bs and then, when called out on the Bs you doubled and tripled down with the “poor widdle ol me?” Defense.

Leftist.

Troll.

It’s discussing the article! smh. I take exception to being called a liar. You ignore that DARPA created LifeLog, the very type of thing you claim would be a crazy conspiracy.

It’s not hard to grasp that such a concept be commercialized and, with some help, become a dominant platform - OVER TIME. Jeez - that doesn’t take a genius. Some people have multi-year plans ya know!

BUT TO BE CLEAR - I said the article “CLAIMS” - you just want to insult and be rude...it’s possible, others agree, it’s called “conversation”. Learn to have an adult conversation - because you’re proving the opposite.

I don’t ignore DARPA create lifelog, I just point out that it has NOTHING AT ALL TO DO WITH FB. But here you go once again insisting what you say you didn’t say. Once again proving you’re a liar.

And once again studiously ignoring HOW FB came to be the data repositoy it is.

The facts are in. You will not address them. You are a liar. Goodbye.

Your opinion isn’t fact. I just wanted discussion on something relevant to the tech climate and history of government abuse. I started with “claim”. You can’t read and I’ve not whined about anything...but I won’t stand down to people like you.

Go through my history then. Pathetic. You’re an embarrassment to this site. I don’t treat ANY FReeper like you have. While you hurl insults the worst I’ve called anyone is “naive”.

Personal attacks violate FR terms of use.

Assertions without the ability to prove it. It doesn’t matter how FB was launched, attracted users, and went public. You are the one conflating assertions with facts.

Call me more names. You expose your immaturity.

Yes, I’m interested in his project.

I agree the concern is a level of severity - be it more of a concern for tomorrow than today. As all this data becomes more connected and people become more creative in squeezing information from it - I fear that future conservative politicians will be crushed before ever becoming known. Beyond that, just impact the ability to earn a living. It is coming if nothing is done.

I hear you.

But I also think if what we see and hear in/on media were the real sentiments of the country ... then yeah, we're screwed. But what's on media is an extreme, hyped echo chamber of the looniest of the loons, most of whom aren't even aware that they are in an echo chamber, so they consciously (leadership) and unconsciously (dunderheaded followers) make a convincing case that a much greater percentage of the US agrees with them.

A lot of the article sounded like jealousy and competitiveness that has marinated for a long time. I remember two employees who used to work for me who spoke to me contemputuously about my never doing anything (while they were getting paid by me) and had absolutely no clue what I was actually doing and how easy I made it look because I had worked hard at it and was good at it. Neither ever succeeded in the business because they lacked insight.

Almost all news stories are negative.

Positive news stories don’t really sell.

My FB newsfeed is composed almost entirely of dog stuff. Anything that does not feature a dog will not be read by me.

Yours too! Dang, I thought I was special. Do your water spots tell you to buy more beer? Mine do and I have always been thankful (though my wife might disagree).

Correct.

Obama got his hands into it for his election.

While at State I was interviewed by Obama’s FB director to help with it in spite of the IRM Firewall that makes it impossible for an IMS to administer it at posts....

Facebook is the best human research lab ever. There’s no need to get experiment participants to sign pesky consent forms as they’ve already agreed to the site’s data use policy. A team of Facebook data scientists are constantly coming up with new ways to study human behavior through the social network. When the team releases papers about what it’s learned from us, we often learn surprising things about Facebook instead — such as the fact that it can keep track of the status updates we never actually post. Facebook has played around with manipulating people before — getting 60,000 to rock the vote in 2010 that theoretically wouldn’t have otherwise — but a recent study shows Facebook playing a whole new level of mind gamery with its guinea pigs users. As first noted by The New Scientist and Animal New York, Facebook’s data scientists manipulated the News Feeds of 689,003 users, removing either all of the positive posts or all of the negative posts to see how it affected their moods. If there was a week in January 2012 where you were only seeing photos of dead dogs or incredibly cute babies, you may have been part of the study. Now that the experiment is public, people’s mood about the study itself would best be described as “disturbed.”

The fact that you think it doesn’t control your mind is proof that it does.....
Sadly, there are way too many who are more susceptible to the “gentle nudges to the left” that Facebook and others try to provide...
