Let’s see if we can put a bit of a spin on this story:

Priviliged leftist white San Francisco professor mugged by undocumented migrant.

This fool and I’m sure others paid $21.50 for a Lobster Roll. Talk about gullible?

Good old PT was right after all.

What do you think they normally cost?

I used to hang out with the seagulls on Hampton Beach NH years ago. I’d go very early in the morning when very few people were on the beach with a sack of sunflower seeds. I’d sit in my beach chair and flick those seeds into the air one at a time. Eventually I’d collect a crowd of them and they would take to grabbing the seeds as they were still in mid-air. Those seagulls are pretty good at catching things up in the air.

If that’s “peak New England”, guess I’ll just stay home (Texas).

Rats of the bird world, and nasty, aggressive ones at that.

I sure hope she thought it was worth the money to take that picture.

“I didn’t even see the seagull,” she said in a phone interview with the Globe on Saturday afternoon, one day after the ordeal. “I didn’t know there was one coming. He ate it and coughed it out and his seagull friends came out and ate it. It was kind of wild.”

The "ordeal"? Tippi Hedren couldn't be reached for comment...

"pretty good at catching things up in the air"

The State of Texas said years ago that we could no longer throw firecracks up in the air for the gulls to catch.

One year, I’m going to take a trip up the northern east coast just to eat.

For the same. reason someone from the Maine coast might visit Malibu.

Love Maine. I could live up there. It is beautiful.

“Democrat seagulls?”

Could be. No matter how much you yell at them or even chase them, they just won’t go away.

That happened to me last year in Orlando, Florida when I attempted to feed the seals in Seaworld with raw fish pieces. Those gulls are aggressive!

If you had a lobster roll in New England you would realize that 20$ is reasonable. The lobster rolls out the pretty much use a whole lobster in one of those rolls. No shortcuts. I prefer butter over mayo for lobster but the rolls are the real deal

Finally some sanity on this thread...It is what they cost. It is a special treat.

We get seagulls in the Dallas suburbs. Maybe they’re just “gulls.”

I live in Maine.

I’ve had lobster rolls made from frozen lobster for ten dollars or less.

But to be honest, the ones made with fresh lobster meat are MUCH, much better!
