His attorneys asked for 2 weeks in jail/year. One the week of her birthday and one the week of her death. They felt that was a ‘fair’ sentence. The judge thought otherwise.
No, the way it works for cops is sentencing then let it die down as people lose interest, then it gets overturned on appeal and buried to page 9 in the major newspapers.
