For you are hastening their destruction. To a lot of people who like to travel, these are morally bewildering times. Something that seemed like pure escape and adventure has become double-edged, harmful, the epitome of selfish consumption. Going someplace far away, we now know, is the biggest single action a private citizen can take to worsen climate change. One seat on a flight from New York to Los Angeles effectively adds months worth of human-generated carbon emissions to the atmosphere.

Huh? Ice is less dense than water, that’s why it floats. That’s also why it takes up more space than water, and sea ice melting won’t contribute to sea level rise. Now if all that’s currently over land melts the sea level will rise... but by how much? The answer probably doesn’t matter because the odds of the leftists’ fantasy/nightmare scenario actually happening are slim to none.

I’m not going to click on the NYT, but there are too many tourists everywhere across the globe. I blame massive cruise ships and the UNESCO designation which means sites end up on every single cruise and land itinerary. Yes, stay home, progtards.
