I saw Godzilla, King of the Monsters today.
I've been a fan of the big lizard since I was a kid. However, I was disappointed in the movie today.
I won't give any spoilers.
Special effects are very good.
Plot line is good.
My problem with the movie, and this may not bother others, was the use of profanity, especially taking God's name, throughout the movie.
There is also a reference to God as "she".
I would recommend avoidance of this movie for these reasons.
Sadly, this will be my last Godzilla movie I will go see.
Yet another Godzilla movie. I’ll pass.
Is Raymond Burr in it?
Hes really good.
Screaming and flipping his tail around.
Well, you didn’t give out any spoilers, but if this is the last Godzilla movie you’re gonna see, it must not be very good. Sorry you wasted your money at the theater!
No, the reason is for the language, in particular the use of God’s name in vain.
He missed this one!
Wasn’t that John Belushi in the original Godzilla suit? Raymond Burr was the reporter.
No Raymond Burr, me no go.
Thanks for the review. I to really enjoy the movies and grew up with him and I remember seeing Godzilla versus Megalon at the movie theater. Hollywood however hates Christians and they enjoy putting the GDs in JC’s in the movies I’m thoroughly convinced of that. And people in most walks of life don’t even use those words a whole lot. I probably won’t see it now but I don’t think I’ve lost out. After seeing Cloverfield I’ve probably seen the best big monster movie ever made. That’ll do it for me.
I’ve not been to a theater i maybe 5 years? I’m not sure.
HAD TO GET UP and walk out too often!!
Last movie i saw was called, I think, Machete and Don Johnson and Robert DeNiro, I think, murdered a poor illegal woman in COLD BLOOD!!!
SPIT!
That was it for me.
I agree with you, it's deliberate on their part.
I'm just sorry I wasted my money on this.

Totally unnecessary. Political correctness is driving people insane.
Godzilla = Go - zilli
Gorilla = GO rilla (strong like a gorilla)
Whale = ku JIRA (comes from ocean)
Ergo:
Go - jira = gorilla/whale = Gojira, anglicized = Godzilla
Godzilla’s name actually has nothing to do with God.
Why is G so fat?
It’s been “God”zilla all these years. Why quit now?
I'm referring to dialogue within the movie.
I think Jim Arness, sheriff of “Gunsmoke,”
played the monster in “Creature from the Black Lagoon.”
If we saw godzilla on our street, even my wife might cuss.
I understand there was also climate change stuff in it.
