Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, was a no-show at the Buckingham Palace banquet for President Trump’s state visit to England on Monday, after the president called the former American actress “nasty” in an interview with a British newspaper. Markle, who is married to Prince Harry, is on maternity leave after giving birth to their first child, Archie, earlier in May. Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, the wife of Prince William, was in attendance at the banquet as were Trump’s adult children. The American-born Markle also missed a royal luncheon at the palace with Trump and first lady Melania Trump earlier Monday – although Harry attended.

Did she renounce her citizenship? As I understand it you have to specifically renounce your citizenship when you take another otherwise you are considered a dual national. A lot of Americans who take citizenship of another renounce American citizenship for tax reasons as unlike most citizenships, you are required to pay US tax even if you live and work in another country. Boris Johnson, our most likely next PM was a dual national until 3 years ago (born in NYC) and then gave it up. Presumably he did it because they conflicted with his political ambitions, its kind of awkward aspiring to be PM whilst not being a full and exclusive British citizen...

But really, aren’t all the royals right up to the queen, just a bunch of trailer trash that have convinced the world that their ‘bloodline’ entitles them. I do not expect her to be around in 5 years. Royal Divorce. I don’t think the Queen is too thrilled about her in general and now it came out that she blew $380K on her baby shower.
