Wall Street wakes up to 'peak car'

For the auto business, "The pain is just beginning," according to Nomura analyst Masataka Kunugimoto and his team. "We now expect global auto demand to be down 3%," year on year, in 2019, he told clients recently.
He is not alone. At bank after bank, analysts are coming round to the idea that the world may have passed "peak car," and that in the future humans will need fewer personal vehicles.

I bought a 2017 F350 Platinum. 78k OTD It’s like driving a friggin Cadillac! I love mine and I believe it will be the last truck I ever buy. I’m 58 and I usually keep my trucks about 10 to 15 years.

In 2008, I bought a stripped F-150 - 6 cylinder, manual windows, manual locks, rubber flooring - for $13,000 new out the door. They had 8 on sale and the 8th was purchased before the paperwork on mine was done.
I can't imagine ever selling it.
Well, it isn't totally stripped. It includes both AM & FM on the radio...

OMG I bought a Ford Escape with 25,000 miles on it $12,000.00 below sticker price new!! Car is fabulous I just love it !!!!!
