The story of a missing 6-year-old Tennessee boy being found has gone viral over the years. Not just because he was found safe, but because of what was found next to him when rescuers reached him.
Kaydon Leach, the child, went missing from his Blount County home, prompting a search effort that consisted of about 100 first responders and local officials, including the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, K-9 teams, Blount County Sheriffs Office SWAT Team, and a Black Hawk military helicopter. Volunteers also partook in the effort, officials had said.
The team searched about 2,000 acres starting at around 7 p.m. About 22 hours later, Kaydon was located about 2,500 feet from his home in Top of the World Community at 3:30 p.m. the next day, according to local reports.

I love dogs.
this is a feel good story all around because 20 hours if the kid was abducted is a LONG TIME.
At that point, the parents were probably completely out of their minds.
Good dog. Probably helped save the kid by keeping him unafraid and comfortable. Good kid, for having a good dog like this.
Bestest. He’ll never have to buy a MilkBone ever again!
I love children.
Jesus loved the children.
“Unless you become as a little child, you cannot enter the kingdom of heaven.”
“has gone viral over the years.”
So I guess this is not current news, just a nice story anyway.
I saw that phrase too;
“over the years”. Over what years? I think this happened in 2018.
A boy and his dog
Dogs protect and stay loyal to children all the time. They also rescue babies on a regular basis. In rare instances they have raised human children. So this is a nice story in a long line of nice stories.

The noblest of animals.
God put dogs on Earth to be a helper to humans. Our evolution as a species and our struggles into nature would have been difficult if not impossible without them. Our continued survival depends on them.
Many years ago I read that American Indian lore tells how man and dog became so close. The Creator set about populating the earth with all the creatures, animal and man, male and female. When He was done, He caused a huge fissure to open up in the Earth, forever separating man from the animals. But while the Creator had been going about His task, the dogs and humans had come to trust one another and become friends. The dogs were distraught to see the Earth slowly opening up, separating them from mankind. They paced back and forth until, at the last possible moment, they leapt across the chasm and were reunited with their new friends. Dogs and mankind have been devoted to one another ever since.
A touching legend, very nice. For myself I think God said to the first dog, “Ah look... I know I made humans but ah... they’re not too bright. Keep an eye on them, will you?’’
That terrier growled at the rescuers who approached. He really was guarding the boy.
