I had misplaced mine and went to buy another. I was disappointed to find out that they had stopped making the Shuffle. I bought one via Craigslist and found my other one a week later, so now the wife has one.

Oh? The processors in the Apple iOS devices is up to two times faster than anything in an Android device and they are far more secure and offer more privacy, not to mention far less malware. The screens are far more photographically accurate as displays in color rendering and they are all these days far more acute than the human eye can see as far as sharpness. Apps are usually superior on iOS and less ad ridden. So what is there in quality you see that is lacking? Apple devices have a greater resale value than any Android device when you want to trade them in. No, it isn’t a fashion thing.
Believe as you wish. In a side-by-side comparison on functionality, the Android is light years ahead.
When I sit next to someone with my older Samsung phone and they see my screen resolution, they say is that the new Apple phone? Nope, just my 3 year old Android.
When I use the voice command to send a detailed voice generated email that was created speaking at conversational pace and then it is sent flawlessly, and I ask then if their new Apple phone does that? Their chin drops, mouth hung open and then they mutter, “Wow, that is amazing. No, my phone won’t do that.”
There is nothing your Apple phone does better other than being more simple. I will give you that. It is nice and simple.
Oh, and I acknowledged your point about resale being better in my earlier post saying I am amazed why people pay so much more for a phone that does so much less.

Emotions aside, there is not a single technical stat where your iphone excels.

Screen resolution is a matter of physics and optics. There is a biological limit on what resolution your eyes can see. At the distance you look at a phone screen it works out to about 330 pixels per inch at 12 inches, even if you have 20/10 vision. Even so the iPhone X introduced three years ago has a screen resolution of 458 pixels per inch resolution and the brightest screen of all phones on the market at that time. . . But the most accurate white balance and color. When a rating organization with no ax to grind lists the iPhone screens as the most accurate and finest money can buy, and consistently better at recreating photographic images, then that’s it. Just because you subjectively liked super saturated colors does not make it good. Your phone’s resolution beyond what your or anyone’s eye can physically see, is mere selling point hype put on by the maker to fool people who believe meaningless specs rather than science.

You show me how good the screens on some random Android phones are when Android phones are used to produce major magazine cover photos like iPhones have been used, or for National Geographic photo shoots, or for producing entire full length motion pictures in their entirety that have won Academy Awards nominations or Golden Globes. You won’t find them.

Who ever told you that you cannot do that on an iPhone or iPad or any other iOS device? I am dictating this on my iPad Pro right now. You just do not know what you are talking about. Apple has had dictation on their devices for over thirty years. I can even dictate email or texts on my Apple Watch.
You are the blind one and the Android cult member. You think Android is the superior technology when it is actually a copy of the original which has not made any significant improvement in Android device technology in over four years . . . Because you have never, ever used an Apple device.

I have an IPod with large storage from over ten years ago. It has worked as a stand alone music alternative to my IPhone very well for all those years when occasionally needed. I think that this is what I like about Apple products — they just work and not for just the first 36 months after you buy them.
The Win products may have had functional batteries and power sources but their Bio, Operating Systems and the like get to about four years and you might as well throw it in the trash as the new systems make the hardware obsolete so fast.
No, read the article. No cellular antenna, plenty of space - to continue what was on the previous models, a headphone jack. No need to change the case design.
Incidentally, my iPhone 5s had a headphone jack in addition to the charge port. I don't miss it on my iPhone 7, because the charge port doubles as a headphone jack (headphones included with the iPhone 7). Why have two ports that duplicate functions?
I have a 4GB Apple iPod 2005 model, still works fine 14 years later. I have it hooked up to an ion Pathfinder II portable boombox where it excels as a jukebox. Only upgrade I did was to swap in a Hitachi 4GB hard drive long ago, and a new battery a few years ago. I expect it to work fine for many more years.
Ipad now available with usb3 rather than lightning port.
A12x RISC based processor is comparable to Intel I7 quad core with hyper-threading.
I suspect that’s the plastic insert for the WIFI antenna so the signal has free access in and out. . .
