Today’s Cryptogram

AE HRK PXOV SBV PAWSXOV RE GRROAJM TXZO SRR PKZB, HRK XCVJ’S ERZKWVL VJRKMB RJ SBV CRXL AJ ECRJS RE HRK. ---TCXL DXAWGVH

Today’s CG is courtesy of the Arkansas Gazette.

You can find this little fun word game, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications.

The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).

Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated.

PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and any tips you might give the group on how you solve these puzzles as puzzle solvers love to hear how you made out.

You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for today’s Cryptogram.

TOPICS: Chit/Chat
KEYWORDS: brain; cryptogram; puzzle; todayscryptogram
If you're just starting out on these, be patient, as you'll be proficient in no time.

Solving the puzzle under 8 minutes is good, under 6 very good, under 4 excellent and under 2 "you're a pro!"

If you need a little help you can copy the cryptogram and paste it to Hal’s Helper below:

You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper.

That was a good one: just enough clues to make it not-too-difficult.

Good advice but one must be observant in all directions and be aware of his/her surroundings...

About 5 min, thick headed this am. Set the E in place and then the 3 letter words including the e, and the three letter with the double letter. That was a good start for the trial & error part.

Ten minutes. I started with "SRR" and then the "e," and the rest began to fall into place.
