You can find this little fun word game, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications.

The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).

Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated.

PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and any tips you might give the group on how you solve these puzzles as puzzle solvers love to hear how you made out.

EE LL OO. And I guess SS as in ASS, but that doesn’t come up in these kinds of quotes.

Does the “EE” combination work?

You know, if you’d have put that kind of effort into solving the puzzle, you might even have finished by now.

That effort was part of trying to solve the puzzle. I was looking for three letter words which ended in the same two letters. That turned out to be blind alley unfortunately because I misunderstood the clue I was given. I should have been looking for three letter patterns with the last two letters identical. Next time I’ll send a private message so you are not disturbed by it all.
