Here’s a link to an old Mopar thread I posted...

Obscene.
At the time Chrysler touted their 5 yr/50,000 warranty. But Hemi powered Plymouths and Dodges were covered by a 90 day warranty that was automatically voided if the car was used for racing, or modified in any way, effectively they were bought as is.
There was an old horror movie from the 70s called The Cuda Movie.
Also known as, Phantasm.
;-)
Lovely ride.
This car is proof that time travel is impossible. If it was, someone would travel back in time, custom order one of these and barn store it with only short periodic drives to keep the cobwebs off it.
Imagine one of these, completely original, with maybe 2,000 miles on it.
Both are reminiscent of the 1977 Burt Reynolds/Jackie Gleason film Smokey and the Bandit.

Ever wonder why Hemis have never been run at Indy? After seeing the car run in practice and literally smoke everybody else who showed up in Miller/Offys some concerned official reported seeing Tony adding nitromethane to the fuel of their car before practice runs (which he was doing but he swore no one ever saw him do it) - problem was, everybodys eyes watered up real bad when they hit the ignition. The car ran great in the straights but in the corners they had oil starvation - which they somehow never figured on to be as big a problem as it was. Anyway, according to them, the car was black flagged after a few days and the rules were changed to forever outlaw the particulars of a Hemi cylinder head design as well as overall engine displacement.
if you like old mopars..
Graveyard Carz is the show to watch.
Good-looking car. Not entirely sold on the rims. Not $2MM-worth, anyway!
And all I had was a VW bus. :(
I know the Hemi has the cachet, but never knew how different the engines were in performance.
I worked with a guy in the early 80s who owned a 1965 Barracuda and a yellow 1970 like the one you posted. He was an honest guy and you. KNEW he loved his cars and wouldn’t lie about them. He told me the 70 was a hemi. Someone was always trying to buy them. Wonder if he still has them?
Must be a flat tire in those photos cause Im jackin It.
Automatic transmission???
