Alabama doctor: Why I won't stop providing abortions
CNN ^ | May 17, 2019 | Yashica Robinson

Posted on 05/17/2019 12:10:17 AM PDT by Morgana

(CNN)On Wednesday, Gov. Kay Ivey signed a bill into law that would ban nearly all abortion care in my home state of Alabama. Not surprisingly, a media frenzy ensued. #Alabamaabortionban trended on Twitter, an airplane circled the state capitol proclaiming "Abortion is OK" and reporters called me nonstop for comment.

But the new law, which does not take effect for six months and faces inevitable court challenges, will not change my daily routine as an OB-GYN. Just as I have for the last 15 years of my medical career, I will continue to deliver babies, give prenatal care -- and provide abortions.

As a mother and a physician, this abortion ban is deeply personal. I carry both these identities with me as I care for women and honor their decisions to become parents or to terminate their pregnancies.

I understand the struggle to make that choice. I became pregnant when I was in high school. Because of my fear and lack of resources, I didn't confide in my mother or grandmother until it was too late to have an abortion. I love my children with all my heart, but I know that everyone should be able to make this decision for themselves.

Of course, seeing the bill become a reality has taken its toll. I am angry at the politicians who do not see women as responsible decision makers and therefore believe the care I provide should be outlawed. I am enraged that the state of Alabama would force me to choose between what is ethical and medically appropriate care and breaking the law.

“...I am angry at the politicians who do not see women as responsible decision makers ...”

1. You’re stupid women

2. Dont make me responsible as a taxpayer for your murder

2..As a man, don’t make me responsible for your decision to keep the baby

You can’t have it both ways...

Some how the decision not to have sex as a way not to have children is always left out of the argument by abortionist. Birth control by murder is just fine with them.

I really take issue with “as a man, don’t make me responsible . . . “

Sir, I think you need to find out how babies are made, and if you don’t want a baby, don’t participate in the making of one. Otherwise, sir, there is no way to absolutely sure a baby is not made. There is a risk involved and if you are unwilling to take the risk don’t participate.

If you committed the act, and a pregnancy results, whether you like it or not that is YOUR child.

Grow up!

Got no problem with your position but, it is duplicitous.

You can’t say I’m responsible for a child on the one hand and remove my decision as to whether or not it will live

Men cannot get pregnant so unless and until the field can be leveled by allowing the Woman too have sex and be rid of the results they will never stop

And BYW in the eyes of God the Father is as responsible for what happens to the child (born or unborn) and no amount of “Baby Momma” pleading will stand up in the Courts of Heaven

Saw a miracle yesterday at work today. A direct intervention by God to keep a man alive through a crisis.

Not to change the subject here. But... it became very clear to me.

Like most things in the lives we all pass through, human beings of both genders have the capacity to do things (procreate is one of course) of HUGE, MASSIVE importance... to them, to those around them, To God, and of course to the human being brought into the world.

And we now treat it as cheap entertainment, even less meaningful than a video game.

It is horrible what humans have become. To have absolutely no understanding or appreciation of the significance of procreation and raising our progeny...

Even the brute beasts have a grasp of what they have and what they do...

The maternal instinct especially is something that only a defective animal loses, and that happens only very rarely. Most critters are great parents.

I don't know what stays the Almighty's hand when it comes to crisping us humans with an asteroid or something.

But it is long, long, overdue.

The maternal instinct especially is something that only a defective animal loses, and that happens only very rarely. Most critters are great parents.

The abortion industry conditions women to suppress the maternal instinct. But I believe there is something else going on here, at the level of society.

Several decades ago, a researcher ran a series of experiments called the "Mouse Utopia" experiments. He set up mouse habitats that contained everything mice needed to survive and which was free of danger. The mice in these habitats always developed pathologic behaviors once the population reached a certain density, although the mice were never at risk of running out of resources. One of the pathologies was that the maternal instinct was lost. Mice stopped getting pregnant, resorbed fetuses when they did get pregnant, and showed little to no interest in caring for their pups if they gave birth. The mice colonies always died out soon after reaching this stage. The parallels to human culture are striking. The abortion culture is in a death spiral, and those who have embraced it do not even recognize their own pathology.

The short answer is that this “doctor” is a sociopath that preys on other women and babies.

This woman is a doctor in Alabama? Really? She states in the article, “I hate that I am being placed in the position of reassuring my patients that abortion is still legal today — and for the foreseeable future — despite the actions of politicians in Birmingham.” The state capitol is in Montgomery, not Birmingham.

This article was fabricated by someone outside of Alabama and rubber-stamped with the bad doctor’s name on it.

OK, I can see your point, but the LAW treats men in such cases as these as completely irrelevant.

Suppose the man didn’t want his child murdered?

He has no say.

What if he was willing to put up money for the birth, and take the baby and provide a full life for him/her?

Again, the man has no say.

It takes two to make a baby, you are right.

But only one to kill it.

If ever there was a living breathing Judas Goat, this woman is it. She will defy the law and risk prison to keep murdering children because they are inconvenient.

The fact that abortion/murder is used as birth control is more than objectionable by many people.

I am angry at the politicians who do not see women as responsible decision makers and therefore believe the care I provide should be outlawed.

1) Women have not proven themselves to be responsible decision makers. Killing babies must be outlawed, to make clear that abortion is an evil "decision" that kills other people, and to punish those who make that evil decision.

2) Killing babies isn't "care".
