Todays CG is courtesy of the Arkansas Gazette. Its one the easier ones, as youll see a number of familiar letter patterns right out of the gate. SO, TO ADD TO THE INTEREST, TRY SOLVING THE PUZZLE LINE BY LINE, (I.E. SOLVE THE FIRST LINE BEFORE GOING TO THE SECOND, ETC.)
You can find this little fun word game, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications, unfortunately they are copyrighted so we can't use them here. So, we're just going to make up our own.
The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).
Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated.
PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and any tips you might give the group on how you solve these puzzles as puzzle solvers love to hear how you made out.
You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for todays Cryptogram.
Solving the puzzle under 8 minutes is good, under 6 very good, under 4 excellent and under 2 "you're a pro!"
If you need a little help you can copy the cryptogram and paste it to Hals Helper below:
You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper.
I’d never heard of her.
Ya might wanna ping the gang.
Ditto.
SBTP!
(Solved before the ping!)
LOL @ SBTP
Took two minutes time to place the letters. The second contraction was obvious. Letters flowed like a waterfall.
Very interesting quote.
Interesting, makes sense...
Did you cut me off?????<: <: <:
Didn’t get routed to me this AM, was scanning the site and ran across it....
Solution to our last puzzle:
It's so much better to promote what you love than to bash what you hate. ---Jessica Alba
Succinct, true and 2 minutes. Contractions always get me a good start, add the e based on frequency of letters & you’re 1/2 way there.

Good quote but don’t know who she is.
2 minutes. Got the contraction part on the first contraction and the double letter on the second, then guessed at the first word, then figured out which letter represented E, and then the rest fell into place.
Well said, and indeed they did. Filling in the letters took a lot longer than finding the solution.
The easiest in a while. Filled in the letters as fast as I could. Never heard of the author.
