I met him at the Santa Anita racetrack about 35 years ago at a birthday gathering. He was the sweetest, most down-to-Earth and thoroughly normal person you could ever meet.
Rest in peace, Tim.

Sigh, and another part of my young life is gone. Just damn.
Was their anyone funnier than Tim Conway and Harvey Korman?

I folowed Tim on Facebook. He always had witty posts, but he stopped about two years ago.
I figured he wasn’t well.

OMG, as soon as the first frame came up, I began to laugh out loud! Got some tears, too...
From the second he opened his mouth, the look on her face showed that she knew she was doomed!

When Tim Conway wanted to make the cast of the Carol Burnett show laugh on stage in the middle of the performance, they were completely helpless. Not even a fair fight! They would all try to look away from the camera...I remember watching one where Carol Burnett had her face covered, was looking away, but her shoulders were jumping up and down.
I saw an interview with Carol Burnett in which she said all during the week in rehearsals, Tim Conway would stick to the script and perform his lines exactly as written. Once they got out in front of the audience to tape the show, the script went out the window, and he would ad-lib his way through the sletch, cracking up the other cast members.

Harvey Korman is now in Heaven unable to hold his laughter with Conway next to him. :)

You know you’re good when you can break up Vicki Lawrence. Carol was a pushover, but Vicki was one tough cookie.

This hurts about as bad as when Harvey Korman died. Both masters of the art.
