When you can’t get guns, crossbows are a close second.
Started out with the three folks....husband and wife, with a 2nd lady. Checked into the hotel, seemed to be ok, and the maid found all three dead the next day. Husband and wife were dead in the bed, arrow shot in each head. Second lady was dead on the floor, arrow shot as well.
So cops went to the home of single lady, and found two more folks dead (didn’t say if they were arrow shots or not). No robbery demonstrated. Might have been kind of cult deal or possibly all in some doom episode. Just is odd that a crossbow was the weapon of choice, but you can still buy them without a license.

Just checked... Surprised crossbows aren't illegal in California, but after these deaths, they probably soon will be, if libs have their way. I mean, blowguns are illegal out here, fer cryin' out loud!

Crossbows are as accurate as a scope-sighted rifle at 50 yds or less. Once cocked they are as easy to shoot as a gun.
Killed because of a quarrel I suppose.
Yeah, it takes a while to reload a crossbow, so it’s difficult to see how someone could kill three people in quick succession with one in a confined space if they were able to fight back.
