The Next Battlefront: Social Media
American Thinker ^ | 10-05-19 | Rick Hayes

Posted on 05/10/2019 7:39:01 AM PDT by McQ444

Imagine a day when newspapers only publish articles regarding the benefits of late-term abortions, socialism, and open borders. Where history books vilify Republican conservatives for fighting to defend slavery, inciting segregation, and founding the KKK. Cable news shows would only report crimes committed by conservatives or capitalists and social media only allowed leftist ideas to be communicated over their platforms. Well, if the left continues its scorched-earth policy against free speech, in no time at all the United States will have no resemblance to what the Founding Fathers envisioned. So many examples exist that fully detail the poverty, violence, and atrocities that quickly emerge when free speech is taken away that it raises the question as to why so many younger Americans are indifferent about the loss of such an important right.

Oh, that kkk. To me, kkk and antifa are——same assclowns, different costumes spurred on and funded by the same old demo-elite.

And don't forget to imagine a day when banks and credit card companies can decide to shut you down financially simply because you are conservative.

Oh wait. You don't have to imagine that. That day has already come.

Because an entire generation is hooked on it, then the leftists have free reign to use it to indoctrinate.

Think about how well “Who cares about the public schools” worked, as Conservatives turned them over to the leftists who now use them as indoctrination centers for marxism.

I don't know a single social media platform that operates using taxpayer funds like public schools do.

The conservative approach to social media should be to simply start an alternative to Facebook, Twitter, and all that other nonsense.

It's very telling that none of these nitwits in government or among conservative political pundits has even mentioned this as an option.

What? This is the battlefront of truth. We need to be posting, replying and getting on the soapbox of truth against these lies perpetrated by colleges, media, Hollywood and so forth. The casual reading is our aim and goal that looking at the comments section....that’s where the difference is made. We need to be on every comment section of every article on every site exclaiming the truth or we’re doomed.

Look I hate the media and social media as much as the next guy, but we need to use them and infiltrate them opposite of what they intended.... meaning, use their platform to spread our truth.

Right-but “Who cares about the public schools” was a piece of the overall surrender.

If TV, films, magazines, newspapers, radio, etc. all got a pass on their lies... parents of school age children didn't see compromised schools as a problem...it was all the same to them.

But-Republicans howled themselves red-in-the-face for decades about the schools. It didn't matter because the fix was in.... the MSM already HAD control. By then, schools were just another small step to the Liberal goal.

Republicans backed down and have cringed in the corner ever since. Their ‘careers’ meant more to them.

Approaches have been tried. Ever heard of Gab and Dissenter?

The use or non use of taxpayer funds really have nothing to do with the problems of e-utilities actively trying to erase my Constitutional Rights.

I don't have a Twitter account. I have multiple Facebook accounts -- none of them real.

Who gives a sh!t what these social media websites do, when your involvement in them is 100% VOLUNTARY?

What the heck is an "e-utility," anyway?

What he is describing is already the way social media is.

It’s why Millenials are drowning in the Kool-Aid.

It seems like a lot of conservatives seem to forget what the term "their" actually means.

Facebook has no obligation to let anyone use "their" platform, period.

Time to regulate Big Tech like utilities. No discriminatory provision of service for anything but “clearly illegal” speech.

Yes, this specifically means all so-called “hate speech” standards are hereby revoked. The alternative is the company gets shut down.

I get you, but Antifa I would say is more dangerous because everyone knows who the KKK is and they are completely socially ostracized and isolated. At this point, pretty much the entire function of the klan is to scam money from local governments by threatening to hold a rally in some town, and then either extorting a payment directly not to march, or waiting for the town to try and stop them and then filing a free speech lawsuit to collect the cash.

It’s like a protection racket, they extort money from towns to protect the towns from the embarassment of being seen as a haven for the klan.

A baker has no obligation to let anyone dictate what cakes they bake.
