Schreiber was arrested for felony battery and for being under the influence.

Interesting video but don't know how to make it play without the ad.

Why my wife no longer shops in downtown Santa Cruz. Used to be a fun place to go.

Initially, I read that as "Bieber"...

He has probably already been released, charges dropped or reduced to disorderly conduct and case Dismissed. Here in California, these actions are no longer a real crime and no punishment is given usually, frankly, I am quite surprised the Police even responded to such a non crime? in Los Angeles they would have hung up on the complainer.

Here in my little town (in Central Valley California) the police post a weekly report on Facebook.

They are list all the stops and citations issued and if they transport the person to jail. Most are caught, cited and released. When asked about this they say it is state law and they have no control over it.

However, violent acts, being armed, or caught with stolen property guarantees a ride to jail (what happens after that is not reported).

Reminder to all California a majority voted for these people into office so this is the world they want to live in.

If I was in my twenties I would move but I am too old (72)to pick up and start over in a new community without friends, family and support.

A lot of these human debris were the ones released from prison because of this crazy law passed a few years ago to let the “nonviolent” out. Yeah right. At some point these “leaders” should be hung from the closest tree.

The new law in California lets these psychos steal anything under $950 without being charged.

The theft of property with a value of $950 or more constitutes grand theft under California law, a felony, punishable by a term of imprisonment in state prison for 16 months, two years, or three years, depending on the situation. (Cal. Pen. Code, § § 487, 666.)

Often the cops or do gooders in the city where the theft happened, will give the thief a few bucks and a free bus trip to a sanctuary city.

Now that is sad back in the day folks would fight back. Even after being released from the station.

“Reminder to all California a majority voted for these people into office so this is the world they want to live in.”

It wasn’t just the people they elected, in many cases it was a direct vote on propositions. They can’t blame it on the “politicians”.

Does this mean that the victim of said crimes can get away with severely beating the perp about the head and shoulders in an attempt to recover stolen property, etc... and get away with it?

Grand theft has been a different criminal charge versus assault resulting in bodily harm.
