He has probably already been released, charges dropped or reduced to disorderly conduct and case Dismissed. Here in California, these actions are no longer a real crime and no punishment is given usually, frankly, I am quite surprised the Police even responded to such a non crime? in Los Angeles they would have hung up on the complainer.

Pepsieonice:
He should have been in some nut-house.
Chickensoup:
We, our family members and friends need to be protected from the dangerous mentally ill.
Grampa Dave:
The dangerous mentally ill need to be cared for, protected and locked up for their safety and ours.
Here in my little town (in Central Valley California) the police post a weekly report on Facebook.
They are list all the stops and citations issued and if they transport the person to jail. Most are caught, cited and released. When asked about this they say it is state law and they have no control over it.
However, violent acts, being armed, or caught with stolen property guarantees a ride to jail (what happens after that is not reported).
Reminder to all California a majority voted for these people into office so this is the world they want to live in.
If I was in my twenties I would move but I am too old (72)to pick up and start over in a new community without friends, family and support.
Now that is sad back in the day folks would fight back. Even after being released from the station.
