A freshman sprinter on the University of Georgia track team was hospitalized after he was accidentally impaled by a javelin, the school said Wednesday.
Elija Goodwin suffered a punctured and collapsed left lung when he backed into a javelin implanted in the ground while running backward sprints, according to a police report obtained by WXIA.
Medical workers sawed off a piece of the javelin that was sticking out of Goodwins back, the station reported. He was transported to a nearby hospital where the rest of the javelin was surgically removed by doctors.

One of the most difficult events at the Olympics
is javelin catching. Contestants don’t last long.

Government response: Put backup cameras on all people involved in track and field including waterboys, towel stewards, and local paper sportswriters.

In San Fran especially and government run schools the athletes specialize in javelin swallowing and the patented javelin poke wrestling move, approved by state and school officials, bullied onto students as normal and healthy, and leading to the recent school shooting.
Anything else you need tg?

No one needs a javelin over 3ft long. This javelin had an armor piercing steel tip. No one needs a javelin with a steel tip. A rubber tip would be much safer.

A gremlin would have been the pacer for the sprinter.

Now we are really getting out of hand. But he could have fallen off a pinto he rode in on. 8>)

To: Robert DeLong
That would have been a bang up thing to watch.

There were many javelin accidents in the stone age. I remember lots of them.
