I don't know. I think Maximum Security got screwed. Max. Security did not impede or obstruct Country House at all. Maximum Security did stray into the 1 horse, who ended up finishing out of money. Maximum Security boldly held off Country House in the stretch run. Country House did nothing or was done something to it to warrant being declared the winner.

Country House wasn’t declared the winner because of something Maximum Security did to it. Country House was declared the winner because it finished in second place and the first-place horse was disqualified for something that had nothing to do with Country House.

I think he actually impeded War of Will. But that should have been enough to disqualify him.

The #1 horse, War of Will, is who got screwed. He obviously loved the slop at Churchill and was making a bold move for the lead. The way he was moving he very well might have drew off and won the race. He won his maiden at Churhill in the same slop, making the same move. He was bred to go the distance as well as any other horse. Just a bad day for the sport.

I agree. Country House didn’t have a chance in beating Maximum. And no, I did not have a bet on either horse.

Maximum Security moved out away from along the rail, the first lane as they called it, to the fourth lane causing War of Will to almost stumble which would have been a disaster, probably causing at least 4-5 horses to go down. Then just to make the most of his run he dropped back down to the first lane along the rail cutting off Tacitus who was coming up on the inside. I was surprised the Stewards made the call in a race like the Derby, but it was definitely the right call. Country House was just the beneficiary, and the jockey on War of Will should get recognition for keeping his horse upright after being bumped three times.

I thought like you too, until I read online, what if #7, whose legs did hit #1’s legs, had caused a fall? Injuries? The rest of the pack? What would happen to the sport of horse racing if the Derby had caused injuries?

I don’t know. It’s hard to take in, though.

war of wills front legs went in between MS’s rear legs mark 0:30 - that’s how far MS came out of his lane. War of wills, impeded, impedes Toddy. Kuddos to WoW’s jockey for keeping that horse on it’s feet and preventing something really ugly. And I agree with the commentators, MS was the best horse running, too bad.

If you see the video, you will see Country House running up the ass of Maximum Security while trying to overtake. Maximum security was out front and was steady, no way the jockey intentionally fouled the horse, it was not a foul, it was a slip by Country House on a greasy track.

It looks like the fix was in for Country House.Politics and liberal fascist, political correctness culture have apparently invaded the Kentucky Derby. They should be ashamed. Now the Derby exists in a fantasy world instead of the world of fact. HORRIBLE!

Videos do not lie.

He didn’t get screwed, nor did anyone say he obstructed Country HOuse. He ran out of his lane, bumped another horse on the left, veered right, bumped another horse, the jockey actually swung his hand out and hit the other horse/jockey 2 or three times. He was disqualified correctly and the second place horse is the winner.

Those track conditions were horrendous. They called off a big horse race not too long ago because of conditions like that because too many horses were wiping out and breaking legs.
