In the mid-1800s, hundreds of thousands of Americans began migrating west along the Oregon Trail to take advantage of federal legislation guaranteeing a plot of land to anyone who settled the region.
“The trail was arduous and snaked through Missouri and present-day Kansas, Nebraska, Wyoming, Idaho and finally into Oregon,” the History Channel notes. Thousands died of diseases and what are, today, easily treatable conditions like dysentery.
Over the next century or so, Oregon flourished and became home to scores of patriotic Americans who worked hard, built lives, and made something out of an obscure frontier.
But then something happened to destroy the frontier, can-do mentality of Oregonians: Democrats and their Left-wing supporters took over and now the state is hostage to anti-establishment, anti-patriotic lunacy.

Rioter should be shot during the commission of their crimes by those who their rioting threaten. Even if it didn’t discourage other rioters at least those wouldn’t riot anymore.

But it shouldn't be. Historically, Anarchists want to eliminate government. Now, that's not what I want. I'm a Conservative. I want limited government. I want smaller government. I want less government. So, in theory, on the spectrum of politics, I am leaning a bit toward that extreme end where Anarchism resides. Logically, I ought to be able to make common cause on some issues with the Anarchists. But the reality is that I can't.
Anarchists today and not anarchists. They do not oppose government at all. They are Chaos warriors who seek a Bolshevik dictatorship. Terrible people. Utterly destructive.
Left-wingers literally destroy everything they touch - and that’s the whole reason for their existence.
Antifa members have been observed by police committing felonious assaults. They have almost never been arrested or identified by the civil authorities. There identities and actions are being protected by elected leftists exercising their power. When tucker Carlson’s family was terrorized and his home vandalized by Antifa, the Washington, D.C. police made no arrests. The propagandists on CNN, especially Chris Cuomo give them active support and publicity. Eventually there will be a harsh reckoning.
It's state-sanctioned violence directed against conservatives. Possibly state-directed.

Note: First they disarmed their people and now they are not only refusing to protect them but supporting their attackers.

Portland and the State of Oregon deserve where they are today.
I was raised in Vancouver, Washington in the 60’s and 70’s right across the river from Portland and have always been notorious for allowing the “panhandlers” to operate downtown without interdiction by the police. The slide into anarchy was showing signs back then.
They can keep waiting.
Too many of us are armed and have no intention of turning out freedom over tho them in the guise of the government.
