I still think we don’t know all of the facts. Was she sought out by the “scammers” and lied to about creative ways to get her kids into college? They knew she had money. I can see them telling her this was all in the gray area but they had letters from attorneys that it was all perfectly legal.

Yes, she should have known better, but some people are just gullible. I’m waiting to hear the whole story.

Why do I get the impression if this woman was not a celebrity she would be offered a no jail deal. We had a case here that was similar. A women pushed her husband out a 20 story window. Well she could have pleaded and would have got 2 years, instead she refused and went to trial. She killed herself in prison, so that story is over.
