Oh wow! Great find and good material with Lisa Mei Crowley’s notes on the Barr hearing on the Mueller Report. Thanks!

I think Kameltoe took herself out of the Presidential race today. She was the caricature of a trickster lawyer, repeatedly asking the “When did you stop beating your wife?” kind of question, and then moving on before Barr got to make any kind of reasonable response. A Presidential candidate has to be likeable — she came across as a total B-word shyster.

Amy Klobuchar was at the top (or I should say bottom) of her snide game today, whipsawing Barr with cheesy remarks while smiling as if “we got you now”.

Thank you for thevrun down.

I don’t know how you have the stomach to watch this.

~ ~ ~. ~ ~ ~ ~ `

Normally I wouldn’t...but somehow it became a mission. Watching Barr’s placid demeanor helped. I also knew I would eventually want notes in my file for later with at least an outline of high points which were covered by whom.

Obozo had the same trait whistling like a groundhog

Zero's whistled S is probably something he learned speaking Indonesian - I've heard it with native I. speakers.

I didn't notice Hirono's S, but it could be cultural too. If her family isn't long removed from Japan, I would expect an S sound made with the tongue a little looser on the upper palate than an English S.

Whoa!!!

Barr just used the expression “placeholder”. I think he said it at least twice.

He DID, didn’t he! I missed the significance of that! Good catch Gen!

The questioners looked nervous to me.

1 -[my paraphrase] not sufficient to show an obstructive act because it is unclear whether the Prez knew that to be false. In fact the Prez was focused on the fact that he didn’t tell McGahn to FIRE Mueller [Barr says “McGahn” here, but I believe he means “McGahn to Fire Mueller” in other words, “I never told you to FIRE MUELLER. I asked you to bring up the conflict of interest.]
No one is pointing this out, but McGahn has no authority to fire Mueller. He is not even in the chain of command to have that power. That chain is The President, the Attorney General, the Acting Attorney Genera.. . . that’s it. McGahn is merely the advisor to the President on legal questions which come up that the President may need answered to assist him on making decisions on bills, treaties, etc. He has no authority over the Department of Justice.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

HI SWORDMAKER!!! GREAT TO SEE YOU!

You make a VERY great point! McGahn did not have the authority/juice to fire Mueller.

And even if he did - which he didn’t - my take away was that Trump asked him to clarify for the record that it was not FIRING he was being asked to do but to approach Mueller with the question of conflict of interest and should consider stepping down.... but entirely to be left in Mueller’s decision. At least that was how I understood it.

..democrats have been such a complete and total disgrace..

Just another viewpoint, repeated from another thread....

The 'rats conduct today was certainly upsetting, but the strongest image I got out of it was that every one of 'em (and maybe some Pubbies as well) literally stank of fear.

JMHO, worst thing about 'em now is that, like trapped rats, there's no tellin' just what they might do next.

Stay aware of your surroundings.

(Sometimes living in an Open Carry State is real comfortin'.)

Al Bore has a net worth of over $300 million - not quite a Clinton but his bs has paid well. Would like to see him on the dock as well.

He's been to Antactica with Richard Branson, another fine figure most recently connected with NXIVM.
