EXCLUSIVE: Empire co-creator Lee Daniels told a New York City morning show Wednesday that the fate of Jussie Smollett on the Fox hit is “in discussions” right now, but Taraji P. Henson, Terrence Howard and the rest of the series’ top cast have already made their decision.
“Together, as a united front, we stand with Jussie Smollett and ask that our co-star, brother and friend be brought back for our sixth season of Empire,” the Oscar nominees and the rest of the portrayers of the Lyon clan wrote in an April 19 letter obtained by Deadline that was sent to Fox Entertainment CEO Charlie Collier, Disney TV Studios and ABC Entertainment chair Dana Walden, Fox Entertainment president Michael Thorn, Daniels, Empire co-creator Danny Strong and various executive producers on the series. I know of one person who won’t watch it either way, never has.
Those gals are saying what they have to say but they all secretly want his crazy butt gone.
Never watched it, never will. Smollett is damaged goods. They can have him back, but only the ‘truly faithful’ will choose to watch a person who stoked hate against an innocent group of Americans. I do think there is a fair number of Dems who are disgusted with him.

What does he have on them that they’ll in his camp? He exploited the worst parts of our history (and their own) in race relations and treatment of homosexuals. Things this nation has largely, almost completely, outgrown he chose to wrap himself in for personal gain.

Agree that he should be brought back after he pays his fine and does his time. Then we’ll let the viewers (if any are left) decide if the show survives.

I think she means this as a punishment. Empire has been an unwatchable Titanic taking on water for a while now.

Never watched Dallas, haven't watched Empire since it began to air. I'm not into soap operas, which is basically what those shows are.
He should be brought back ——into court.
Bring him back without any kind of contract and then cancel the damn show. If this was a reverse situation, can you imagine the crap that would hit the oscillating unit?
Juicy should refuse to come back unless he gets that raise he was angling for ...
