Absolutely a masterpiece. Non-stop roller coaster. If you have ever been a Marvel fan then this is the movie youve always dreamed of. I can no longer look forward to Far from Home or Dark Phoenix asthey can only palein comparison.
Willing to answer any questions you have about the movie, but not interested in giving spoilers except by Freepmail.
YES! You need to see some of the previous movies. Especially the Avenger movies. Hubby and I did a marathon of Avenger movies, because this is a long story that started well before this film This film is the ending of a series of films that include both stand alone Super Hero movies and Avenger (group) movies.
Last year's film "Infinity War" was basically part one and this film is part two. But, there is so much more behind this film than the part one.
Here is the list of movies we watched. We skipped all Ironman movies because I really don't like the character.
Captain America: The First Avenger; The Avengers; Captain America: Winter Soldier; Avengers: Age of Ultron; Captain America: Civil War Thor: Ragnarok (I put this movie in here because the end of Ragnarok is the first scene in Avengers: Infinity War; so, you have an idea of why certain characters are where they are.) Avengers: Infinity War; and then -- Avengers: Endgame.
You can watch other movies such as Ant Man/Ant Man & The Wasp; or the most recent Spiderman iteration. Also, Guardians of the Galaxy. But, I found that the movies I have listed were enough for me to understand the narrative flow of all of the movies
Yes.
Thanks to both! Just trying to keep up with my grandson!
Now that is what I call a worthwhile contribution to this thread. Thank you for getting me out of 10 minutes of time-wasting.
Actor Mark Ruffalo caused controversy in June 2017 after posting a petition on Twitter urging NBC to stop hiring white conservative commentators.
While any of the previous Obies build ones h other, they can be treated as stand alone. This one requires too much knowledge of Infinity War to be considered stand alone.
Thanks for the great list. I would call that the preferred list and a great middle ground.
Thanks!
Just saw End Game. I was sadly disappointed. Loved Infinity Wars and just about every other Marvel film. This was too sad and slow until the end, predictable in a way, and I definitely did not like what they did to many of the characters.
I don’t want to do spoilers but they made a mockery of Thor, did not like what they did to Captain America and some others.
And when they introduced something gay in the first 10 minutes that was a warning.
By the time it ended all the torches were passed to women or minorities.
Of course it had its good parts but overall it was too much of a downer, and then it was a deliberate decision to end story lines and characters that didn’t have to be ended.
Just my opinion. But you have no idea how much I’ve loved all the previous movies, including Captain Marvel.
Cam versions of sci-fi are too dark to enjoy.
Idiots are already doing the Snape killed Dumbledore thing by intentionally posting spoilers in comment sections and livestream chats.
I like separate stories and characters, like the iron man movies and guardians movies, even captain america. Not a big fan of mixing them all together. I hope that they dont muck up the story line for the next guardians movie.
I think they did muck up the next Guardians movie.
I saw Endgame last night. Wow!
As a fan of the comic books as a kid, now watching them on the big screen, Marvel has done a great job.
This is the best culmination of 11 years and 22 movies possible. There was something for everyone in this.
The Russo Brothers deserve massive praise for their creativity and dedication to the characters.
Marvel will have a hard time doing something better than Endgame.
I think you saw a different movie or you are letting other things cloud your judgement.
The gay thing was so minor and innocuous that only someone hypersensitive would react negatively to it. Honestly, if that bothered you, it reminds me of how liberals react when they see a Menorah or Crucifix.
Bullcrap it was obvious, in your face and early in the movie.
You really enjoyed turning Thor into a drunken fat slob? For the whole movie.
I guess you’ve come to accept the normalizing and praising of gay sex as if it’s completely mainstream and normal. I haven’t and don’t need Captain America peddling it.
But aside from that, I can accept liberal stuff in a good movie. Loved Infinity Wars. Endgame was a downer.
LOL. How much is Disney paying you? Comic book movies do not “go down in history.”
