You can find this little fun word game, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications, unfortunately they are copyrighted so we can't use them here. So, we're just going to make up our own.
The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).
Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated.
PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and any tips you might give the group on how you solve these puzzles as puzzle solvers love to hear how you made out.
You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for todays Cryptogram.
Those of you looking for an added challenge can try to solve one sentence or even one word at a time, i.e. solve the entire first line, then go to the second line etc.
If you need a little help you can copy the cryptogram and paste it to Hals Helper below:
You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper.
Solution to our last puzzle:

< 2 min. Get that contraction, it makes other things easier.
Good job. Was that your first time?
3 min. Single letter, the “e”, and like grey_whiskers said solve the contraction. Then it was plug and go.
About 3 minutes. That was interesting, that was a one-word-at-a-time thing. One word led to one other word, which led to one other, but I was nearly done before I could figure out what it said.
2 minutes.
You solved this, going left to right, one word at a time?
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

Very nice choice for a quotation. A fun puzzle as well. Even with some good guesses, it took a few minutes for me.
It’s about the 3rd one I’ve done. Haven’t finished the first one; I basically forgot about it. Need to go back.
I am now doing it from time-to-time to develop my own system (probably methods you are already familiar with).
It’s definitely a skill that can be honed, it seems, so I am enjoying learning a bit of something new. Thanks.
