I’m reading a well-written book “The Sixth Extinction” about what looks to be the end of life as it is on earth. Ever since man took dominance, we’ve annihilated plant and animal populations and spread invasive, destructive species all over the planet. Can we consider people who leave their natural environments as invasive species? It’s inevitable that disease will spread to those who don’t have the immunities to resist it. Been that way since the Neandrathals and HomoSapiens crossed paths.

Who else thinks foreign aid actually HARMS Africa..?

It does and it doesn't. Much of it ends up in the warlords/oppressive leaders' hands, so yea. But, what does get to the general populace tends to be consumed and then gone. There's no planning for the future, no saving up $$ to buy fertilizer or big items to aid in farming. Much of life is all about the family, and the here-and-now. Aid helps temporary, but as soon as the aid is gone, it's back to the dirt for everybody
