Star Wars Episode 9, The Rise of Skywalker, debuts in theaters this Christmas, but recent alleged leaks regarding the plot have appeared on the Internet, and I have been provided with information that, if true, leads me to believe this film could be the worst Star Wars movie of all time.
Thats a tall order after The Last Jedi, but let me tell you, if this information is true, The Rise of Skywalker is the lamest possible rise ever conceived, even worse than we imagined, a laughable bit of cinematic clickbait full of implication, signifying nothing.
Now, I cant say what Im going to discuss in this video is actually true, and some of this has been discussed on Reddit and Twitter already, but I wanted to present my take on all this, so Im going to present the information to you as is, in SpoilerVision, with the spoiler section highlighted in bright red.
I know many of your avoid spoilers understandably, but it is my opinion you should NOT fear these spoilers, and I make the case in the first part of this video as to why to want to hear these potential spoilers ahead of time, to protect yourself from pending disappointment, and to have a good laugh.
They kinda had developed a back story already for what happened so they had to work around that. I kinda liked it. I liked it more the phantom menace.
It pains me that the character is no longer “canon” thanks to Disney.
Ok I watched the “Discovery” Finale.
SPOILER ALERT
How the season ends? A massive infusion of time travel BS that leaves the ship 900 years in the future, supposedly permanently. They were gonna take the ship there to protect the “sphere data” from skynet, even though they killed the Borg King minutes earlier and seemingly neutralized the threat they went ahead and went to the future anyway.
Apparently season 3 will take off from there. People are excited about the “massive potential and possibilities” they will surely waste.
And no one can mention Discovery, the magic time travel suit, or the magic teleporting mushroom drive under PENALTY OF TREASON. Spock and his family agreed to never so much as mention the name “Michael Burnhum” in front of others. Picard mind melded with Sarak though so he should know all about it.
Speechless. Just... Roddenberry is spinning in his grave.
I recommend watching Solo “A STAR WARS STORY” (!) with the Rifftrax audio running:
