I recall reading the “youths” description of a riot in a New York Times article from 1960. Only the “Harlem” location of the riot gave it away.

Watching videos on this event looks like all blacks from what I saw......like all the restaurants where there's violence and destruction are often the black population........ I just wish the parents would step up and control their kids. There seems to be so many of control of their children..

So where’s the black community as a whole to do something about this? Throwing money at people who “don’t give a damn” hasn’t worked....and I don’t buy single mothers can’t raise their kids right because they’re working. There’s plenty of singe mothers who have raised kids alone successfully.
