The initial reports I heard yesterday afternoon said the fire started ‘2 hours after visiting hours closed at 5 pm.’ There was not mention whether or not the renovation crews also quit at work at 5 pm.

Scroll to the bottom of the twitter feed and someone has that video from farther away and it shows a ladder the the fireman in the video used to get where he is shown in that zoomed video.

Comparing hundreds of images returned by Google Image searches for 1st "notre dame clergy" and then "paris firefighters" NONE are found that match the figure as highlighted in below captures at 0:08 & 0:09 of the video.
Above capture at 0:02, showing firefighters water spray at lower right establishes this was during a time when only firefighters or cathedral clergy would be expected to be there. It being neither, WHO IS IT?
