Hillary Clinton on Thursday said that “Game of Thrones” is the television show that most accurately reflects her life in politics.
The former secretary of State was asked during a New York event to pick which small screen depiction gets Washington right.
“May I ask you — this is a question I get a lot because I lived a life in politics, nothing like yours — which is closer to reality of life in politics, which TV show? 'The West Wing' or 'Veep?'” moderator Paul Begala asked.
“Oh, probably ‘Game of Thrones,’” Clinton quipped as the audience laughed. “At least in my experience.”
The former presidential candidate has referenced the pop-culture phenomenon in the past and compared herself to the ruthless character of Cersei Lannister.
She wrote in her post-election memoir “What Happened” that she saw her treatment at the hands of Trump supporters to be similar to the treatment the powerful queen received.
“Crowds at Trump rallies called for my imprisonment more times than I can count,” she writes. “They shouted, ‘Guilty! Guilty!’ like the religious zealots in ‘Game of Thrones’ chanting

I’ve seen Cersei Lannister. I’ve watched GoT for years, and Hillary Rotten Clinton is NO Cersei Lannister.
She would have made an excellent back end for Mr. Ed.

She tried it in high school plays but washed out. They gave her a role of a good, honest, kind woman and she couldn't hack it.
I don't watch TV except Highway to Hell usually. Watch DVDs. Thus, I can't follow any references to Game of Thrones. Met and talked with George R.R. Martin personally several times when he used to go to local SF conventions and had one book in print.

I think “House of Cards” is a much closer representation of the Clintons.....
The Clinton family history is more like “The Godfather”.
No longer satisfied with calling us “a basket of deplorables”, we are now what amounts to cartoonish medieval “religious zealots”.
Yeah, the witch thinks she should be treated like a Queen...
Game of Thrones is more about straightforward power struggles and doesn't show people saying all the things they don't really believe in hopes it will win them power.
But nobody gets killed on Veep ...
