In case anyone missed it, we got the dire news (again) today that SkyPilot’s taxes went up.
There will be a candlelight vigil tonight at 11PM at your nearest tax-funded park. Use a one dollar bill to light your candle. If you are fast, you can put it out and turn it in for a new one at the bank.
Let the candle wax burn your hand in solidarity with SP.
*sob*
BWAHAHAHA!!!!!
You got that last line right.
Slide Pilot started on this thread before 8 AM this morning. Ended in full blown neurosis, sharing photos and yakking it up with the cooperating belly dancers, who gave him oogling privileges to keep up the Slide and throwing in his coins all.day.long.
LOL. In the past, Every single time that there was a tax deal or reform, my taxes went up. All the items I used to deduct are no longer deductible.
Never did I complain about it. I just adjusted by budget and figured out how to survive under the new rules.
This time, I got a benefit. It’s not like anyone ever was targeted directly. The rates went down and some more deductions went away-one man’s deduction is another’s loophole. With economic growth, came wage growth, and eventually the family budget got better.
I’m not sure why we have to keep hearing that someone’s taxes went up. If I had my way, there would be no income tax or property tax. Both are evil.
Well said.
