LOL. In the past, Every single time that there was a tax deal or reform, my taxes went up. All the items I used to deduct are no longer deductible.
Never did I complain about it. I just adjusted by budget and figured out how to survive under the new rules.
This time, I got a benefit. It’s not like anyone ever was targeted directly. The rates went down and some more deductions went away-one man’s deduction is another’s loophole. With economic growth, came wage growth, and eventually the family budget got better.
I’m not sure why we have to keep hearing that someone’s taxes went up. If I had my way, there would be no income tax or property tax. Both are evil.
My taxes have gone up before. One thing that you can take to the bank. Nobody cares if your taxes go up. Your friends don’t care. Your fellow workers or business associates don’t care. Hell, your mother doesn’t care. Griping about it is not a big deal, but intruding into non-applicable threads to gripe about it is ridiculous and impolite.
The complainer should post threads with articles about the tax changes and discuss it there. That’s the purpose of this site. How hard can it be?
I managed to avoid responding to SP on the tax thing. I live in Alaska so anything I have to say on the subject would sound like gloating. I did, however, get sucked into the sports car slide.
