Johnny Manziel hasn’t been on an NFL roster the past three seasons, but he could be getting a second chance to play in the league heading into the 2019 campaign.
Mike Freeman of Bleacher Report wrote in his weekly 10-point stance column that “the sense I get from people in the NFL is that Manziel may well get another chance to play on football’s main stage.”
Because the NFL is so talent poor at the quarterback position, Freeman added, “if he can show even a modicum of skill, someone will have him in for a tryout or on a training camp roster.”

Having flamed out in the NFL, been banned from the CFL, and underwhelming the AAF I don't see Manziel ever getting another chance. But wouldn't that frost the Kaepernick supporters if he did?

If he is truly clean and off drugs and alcohol - then he is new man.
I’ve met at least two professional athletes (hockey) who had drug/alcohol problems. Had native talent, but screwed it up when young, just like Manzel. They got clean, became focused and had good careers.
The DEARTH of good QBs gives him a chance.
Not saying 1st string, but hell 3rd string is better than not suiting up.

His problem is that he only wants to play with top teams. Doesn’t want the Browns, Bengals, Bucs, Jets, etc. bBut has problem is that us as stable as nitro in a home spot paint shaker. Sorry but think of coaching at a high school as your next career.

When I made good money in Manhattan I gambled 1,000 a month at Atlantic City.
Maybe 4 years ago I just completely lost interest.

I don’t have a problem giving people like him a second chance. He isn’t killing other people (yet) and people can turn their lives around.
I find it uplifting when people turn their lives around. There but for the grace of God go I.
Yup Cincy - the only town where we have parades downtown when the season starts. Not when it is over and we won.
