"A skyrmion is a knot of magnetic field lines looping around each other. As it drifts from one spot to the next, a skyrmion makes itself anew out of the magnetic field lines that are already there. The knot holds together because magnetic field lines resist passing through one another."

"skyrmion bags" Sounds like a description of Hillary Clinton. Although she's anything but magnetic.

“Skyrmion Bags”
I think I have to re-register on FR with a new screen name.

Back in the 80's I came across a ranch hand that got hit by ball lightning.
It came down the chimney, rolled across the room and nailed him as he slept in bed.
He was burned head to toe.

The team revealed the skyrmion bags in a paper published April 1 in the journal Nature Physics.

If I were a physicist, especially a physicist working on skyrmions and antiskyrmions, I would avoid April 1 as a publication date.

[ Physicists Stuffed a Ghostly ‘Skyrmion’ Full of ‘Antiskyrmions’ ]
Is that like stuffing cheese INTO the crust and then putting cheese on TOP of the crust?
If so, I’ll take a Pepperoni and Sausage Skyrmion Pizza - with extra cheese

Magnetic fields getting all twisted up is what happens on the sun everyday. This theory could explain some of the weird Dynamics of sunspots and other things.

I love how we have these arrogant physicists like Tyson strutting around as if they know everything. Yet they can’t tell us what gravity or even electricity act are.
You’d think that people whose research only finds more unanswered questions would show more humility.

Very interesting. I was considering the theory and wondered if it could be considered almost like an echo. Similarly, like a wavelet assuming the same past frequency without external affect. Coherence perhaps?

skyrmions that are different from electrons and photons; a skyrmion is a knot of magnetic field lines looping around each other.
Wow, talk about a coincidence, me and my bowling team were discussing that very topic last night in the bar after the match.......
