Justin Trudeau has banished two Members of Parliament from his party’s caucus after they questioned his leadership amid inappropriate interference in a corruption case of a powerful Canadian engineering company.
Trudeau took the unprecedented step of kicking out former attorney general Jody Wilson-Raybould and Jane Philpott, a former Cabinet minister, from the Liberal party caucus on Tuesday.
Both lawmakers are at the forefront of allegations that the Trudeau administration pressured Wilson-Raybould not to pursue a criminal case against SNC-Lavalin, a company that employs about 9,000 people in Canada and some 52,000 around the world, out of fear of potential job losses.
The company is accused of bribing officials in Libya with millions of dollars between 2001 and 2011 to secure government contracts there...

Firing two women is a pretty ballsy thing to do these days especially if you don’t have enough testosterone to grow eyebrows.
He thinks he’s invulnerable, perhaps because Papa Fidel could dismiss malcontents. But Canada ain’t Cuba and screwing members of one’s own party in a parliamentary system makes waves.
It’s often more about the cover up and not the act that brings down politicians
If I understand correctly, his Liberals lost so many seats in a recent provincial by-election that they are unable to be recognized as a bone fide political party in that province.
He’s actually had 4 female caucus members leave. One left in 2018 and joined the opposition Conservative Party, and one recently declared herself independent after stating the Trudeau subjected her to a rage session. He definitely has the spoiled rich kid tendency to engage in temper tantrums, but only towards women.

The leader of the Conservatives is calling for his resignation. Apparently many of the Lieberals who call the shots behind the scenes are also suggesting that he leave.
Personally? HELL NO! I want him to stay as ‘leader’ until the election runs its course! I want to see him defeated in his own riding! I want to see him charged and convicted of obstruction of justice! I want to see him residing in Millhaven Maximum for eight or more years, courtesy of Her Majesty, the Queen.
I want to see him in General Population. He claims to have worked as a bouncer, has boxed and has a black belt in karate, apparently. Let him hone his skills, defending himself against 380 pound, 6’ 8” Chief Bubba Three Eagles, who is looking for a cute new girlfriend, in the crowbar hotel.
