POTTSVILLE, Pa. -- D.G. Yuengling & Son, Inc. and Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Aaron Nola are teaming up.
The collaboration announced Monday will make All-Star Nola one of the first active MLB players to have a partnership with a beer brand.
Yuengling holds a special spot in my heart, said Aaron Nola. I had my first Yuengling Lager after being drafted by Philadelphia and I havent looked back. The fact that Americas Oldest Brewery is family owned and operated is important to me as I value family over everything. I love cracking open a cold Yuengling whether its a day fishing with my dad and brother back in Louisiana or after a big game.
Nola's ambassadorship duties will include - personal appearances, fan meet & greets, special promotions, and more.
We couldnt be more excited to welcome Aaron into the Yuengling family, said Wendy Yuengling, sixth generation daughter, D.G. Yuengling & Son, Inc. This year marks our 190th anniversary as Americas Oldest Brewery, and our partnership with Aaron is one of the many ways we are celebrating the milestone this year. We cant wait for the start of baseball season and to cheer Aaron and the Phillies on with a cold Yuengling beer.
If you walk around the Yuengling Brewery gift shop in Pottsville, you'll notice owner Dick Yuengling's affinity for baseball, especially the Philadelphia Phillies.

Yuengling is actually damn good. It tastes better because whenever I drink it, i envision liberals triggering and jumping off roofs..
I believe I’ll have a Lager!
no mo of that S. A. Boston weasel pi$$
How long did they search to find a spokesman who wasn’t drafted by an MLB team until his 21st birthday?
LOL
We cant get it in Texas.
It’s in Louisiana.
Yuengling finally made its way to Indiana a year or so ago. I prefer lagers and I like it. I’m glad to see they’ve stood their ground in regard to the President. I guess they won’t be making a Ruth Bader Ginsburg beer like that “Brewer, Patriot” outfit in Boston did.
Arkansas too, it appears.
If I recall, they are non union. I was at a picnic where it was served. One of the guests refused to drink it because of being non union made.
Pilsner for me. LaBatts. Good bang for the buck.
...that'd be more for me!
LaBatts is good too. I used to have it at a local pizza joint, but I haven’t seen it anywhere for quite a while.
LaBatts Blue, a great Canadian brew. Hard to find though. Try Kokanee, out of B.C. Excellent! If you can find it.
Yup, I remember them giving tours to Don Jr during the campaign. Boight a case that day. Good beer standard and reasonably priced.
Yuengling was established 1829 while that spit vomit called Budweiser est. 1876. It’s the oldest operating brewery in America. It’s more American than Bud.
“LaBatts Blue, a great Canadian brew. Hard to find though.”
I’m surprised to hear that. It’s in every store around here. Maybe because I live only about 100 miles for Canada.
It’s cheap too. I can usually get it for less than $.70/12 oz on sale.
Good for him. Yuengling is a fine beer and a local Philly mainstay since John Adams was POTUS.
