State lawmakers are expected to schedule another vote on the bill this year as soon as May... Ah, the old vote and vote and vote until you get the desired result trick, and then no more voting.
Once this is in place it will be extremely difficult to repeal: established businesses to be closed, irate users/market that vote, businesses that initially were "mom-n-pop" then bought out by big pharma or big pot companies will be better lobbyists to keep it in place.

Heard on the radio this AM that dirtbag Murphy was holding up state financial aid for cancer victims and people who suffer from epilepsy seizures till he got his vote count.

Yeah, freedom isn't for everybody, is it? /s
I think you're on to a great idea here. Don't stop with just smoking and drinking and voting! How about kids? Not everyone should be allowed to have kids. And have you seen the size of some people out there? You should definitely have to pass a test on nutrition before being allowed to choose your own food. And don't get me started on tattoos - marks of the devil they are. One tattoo and no more privileges for you of ANY kind.
Yep. There is just way too much freedom going on out there for the good of our society.

If there’s no support why not put it too a vote and let the voters decide? I wonder who paid who not to put it on the ballot?

Dems talk a good game, but they seem to be as reluctant as the GOP when it comes to actually ending mj prohibition.
So far, only Vermont has legalized via the legislature. The others have all been by ballot. Politicians are way out of step with the people on this issue.
