Thousands of adorable but poisonous Bufo toads, which can kill pets and are dangerous to children, have invaded a suburban Florida neighborhood.
Cane toads, as they are known, range from 6 to 9 inches in length. Their babies are dime-sized, though, and those are the creatures hopping around in droves.
I just see a massive amount of toads or frogs everywhere, covering every square inch, said Jennifer Quasha, who lives in an affected area of Palm Beach Gardens, to WPTV. You cant even walk through the grass without stepping on one.

Actually not quite the problem they are made out to be. The poison glands are in the shoulders. Humans and some animals are learning to just not eat that part. Convince the Chinese they’ll put the zoom in the zinger and the toads will be near extinct over night.

What was really freaky was how often the water would roil where they went in. Something big ate them.I suspect an alligator. Don't fall in the canal!

We had half a dozen of these nasties in our backyard ....... Since they can poison dogs, my parents made it my job to kill them. I started shooting them with a BB gun, but they could take 6 shots without showing any ill effects..... I finally discovered if you shine a light at them at night they freeze, at which point I put the BB gun to the back of their head and executed them. Not sporting, but effective. We would toss the dead toads into the canal. What was really freaky was how often the water would roil where they went in. Something big ate them. A perfect horror story plot........the optics you describe are amazing. I think Leonardo di Caprio should play you.
We can get some Democrats to play the poisonous toads....it's so fitting.
I want to be the one to throw them in the canal.

All “true” toads. Spadefoot toads are different. Probably some others.

Lots of poisonous toads in Latin America.
But enough about Nicholas Maduro and Daniel Ortega...

Back in the day my dog attacked a big one and started foaming at the mouth. I grabbed a hose an shoved it down her throat and flushed the poison out. She was fine after that and gave us 15 years of love and joy:-)
