He’s not so tough now.
Cops have arrested the monster who they say repeatedly kicked a cowering elderly woman in the head aboard a Bronx subway train — as callous straphangers did nothing more than pull out their phones to record the beatdown.
But the suspect, restaurant worker Marc Gomez of Yonkers, is denying he kicked the woman — even as he insists she came at him with a knife.

Gomez 36, was charged with felony assault and ordered held in lieu of $30,000 bail after prosecutors said he has a misdemeanor conviction and an open gun possession in The Bronx.

With what? Would the perp have been caught if they hadn’t gathered evidence? If you are not physically or mentally able to intervene should you not gather evidence?
I’ve read that there are court decisions stating the police are not legally liable for not intervening on behalf of an individual, if that’s true should should other citizens be legally liable to do so?
I’m betting Marc is going to get a jailhouse education on the folly of beating up on grandmas. But ... he has it coming.
This is a problem in schools. The kids think that recording it is “helping”. They don’t give the video to their parents, the victim’s parents, or school administrators. They post it on line and assume they’ve done their duty to report it.
The other horror is that liberals have said all violence is equally bad. If you get involved in a fight to break it up, if you assault a bully who is beating someone up or a rapist assaulting a child, YOU are considered guilty of something wrong.
They have trained people NOT to get involved. They rightfully fear being charged with assault or sued by the person they hit trying to help the woman.
