The two big surprise movies from the ‘90s.
Bill and Ted “Whoa”
Tremors “Looks like we left this town just one day too late”

Wow! Alex Winter looks great! Hardly aged at all.

LOVED Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. I use to rewind and watch over and over the mayhem in the mall after Bill and Ted leave Billy the Kid, Joan of Arc, Genghis Kahn et all there alone for a few hours.

A bit over the top, but fun to consider this from cinepunx in Bogus Journey:

“I Can’t Believe We Just Melvined Death!”: A Look at Horror and Existentialism in BILL AND TED’S BOGUS JOURNEY
If there’s one thing I can’t stand about film elitists, it’s that they continually insist on paying no mind to fun. The idea that a film’s worth is based on its seriousness, or that its seriousness somehow makes it more profound, is detrimental to the study of film ....

Let’s take a deeper look at Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey, and I’ll show you how the film’s subtext of horror and existential philosophy gives the work an emotional depth reminiscent of something out of the catalogs of Ingmar Bergman or Wim Wenders.

And I'd qualify "O.C. & Stiggs" to that definition.
