SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) - In eastern Sarasota, beware of the crazy squirrel.
The offending rodent has gone after four people, using its claws and teeth to injure his victims.
I was walking, walked right here, I was standing right here, I was looking in the truck. It came running up the back side here, said Robby Armstrong.
Armstrong's security camera caught the Saturday sneak attack. The squirrel ran behind me and jumped on my side, went down my shoulder, got on my elbow and just chomped on me, said Armstrong.
The attack lasted only seconds, but the little guy did a number on Armstrongs arm and elbow. It just clawed me up all over here and bit me here and here, it's deep. That's where he came up here and bit me there and I just grabbed him and threw him on the ground, he said.
There are plenty of squirrels and other wildlife living in this rural part of Sarasota County.
But Armstrongs attacker is different.
video Squirrel attacks Sarasota man in his... A neighbor nursed the squirrel to health as a baby. It was good with their kids but it just attacked the mom over there and the husband, he said. Recently, the same squirrel that got him, scratched his stepson. Armstrong recognizes him when he sees him. This squirrel doesn't have much hair on its tail 'cause the 6-year-old next door trimmed the hair on its tail, put it on Barbie's head, he said.
Armstrong named the squirrel "8-Up" after his race car and truck. I love the animals, I mean, not when they attack me, he said.
Armstrong used a BB gun to try to scare "8-Up" away. It didn't work. He's likely plotting his next attack.
Start shooting them.
Start shooting them.

I keep all the squirrels away by putting out plain old rat/mouse bait, in a tin plate located where I see them go.
.22 Short ammo is one solution. There was this cat that kept getting into our trash can. Makes about the same sound as clapping hands.
They can get rabies, but it is pretty rare, because they have to get bitten by a rabid animal and survive in order to contract it. They are usually too agile for the typical animals with rabies to catch them, and the animals that can catch them probably don’t let them escape alive.
He had to go to a sanctuary to protect him while he learned to live wild
The people who nursed him caused him to lose his fear of humans
They were ignorant fools to just turn him loose
Where have all the brown squirrels gone?
(all black, gray, red)
A chipmunk had entered my room , so I closed all doors and windows and was trying to catch the pretty little furry creature with stripes on his back. I cornered him on top of a cabinet, and grabbed him in my fist. He bit me with his very sharp teeth and of course I had to release him quickly. Those teeth were razor sharp! Blood was pouring out of my fingers. Never again will I catch a rodent or a snake without thick leather gloves.
Wonder if that squirrel is a Ray Stevens fan....
That’s the best way to do it.
Run away!
Saw similar thing with a pet racoon a psychology prof. let his daughter raise as a pet. Until one day it decided it was time to go and fortunately just tore hell out of everything in it’s way EXCEPT her. End of experiment. Animals are born to be wild.
“HEY!! You take that diaper OFF yer head and put it BACK on yer sister!”
Or maybe it's Foamy.
Ohhh My! THANK YOU!! Laughed till I cried!
It’s my favorite squirrel story
