Apples newly updated iMacs offer faster processors, much-improved graphics, and more.
Apples newly updated iMacs have plenty to offer enterprise and consumer users, not least of which are its faster processors and much-improved graphics performance.

It is interesting to note that Apple chose to announce these new Macs with nothing but a press release, even though theyve not seen significant update since WWDC 2017.
This likely reflects the importance with which the company sees the launch of its disintermediated video streaming service in March 2019 Making the decision to release updated iPads and iMacs in the week before launching the service shows the companys determination not to divert focus from that launch.

MacDailyNews Take: Lets hear it for some Mac love from Apple!
The price cuts may be more important.
If you want on or off the Mac Ping List, Freepmail me.
Dont see price cuts. . . Just more bang for the same buck.
“Just more bang for the same buck”
Little “bang”, big “Buck”.
This would be my very first iMac(Already own a macbook pro and iPad) but waiting for Best Buy to have it available for pre order hasnt shown up yet. Would have liked a T2 chip(For Hey Siri without having to press the siri button) face ID, eh waste of time the computer isn’t going anywhere LOL..the 31.6 inch screen would have been nice not sure why they didnt add that
I would love to have one of these gorgeous new iMacs, but there's nowhere to put it in our house. All my work is done on my MacBook Pro literally sitting on my lap and only occasionally at the dining room table. We don't even have a desk in the house anymore now that the kids have all moved out.
Nice, but not sure they can compare with my 43” iPC with 4K display and klipsch speakers.
(Not interested in all in one units, either. I guess I’m just a mid-tower troglodyte)
Okay ... I think its about time for me to update!
Big prices for i5’s. The i9’s are stratospheric.
It's a fully converged company. Do you really want to give them your hard earned money?
I like their phones and desktops.
My phone is an 8+.
Desktop is from 2011...

I agree, buy only used Apple.
I still have a iMac G5 on a side desk in my home office. Have not used it in quite awhile but it was a great machine. Documented a whole lot of memories using Final Cut Express on that machine.
Then again I still have most Macs I’ve owned over the years including my computer which was a 512K Fat Mac. It’s in the cellar somewhere.

I am so irritated at their lack of new Mac Pros!
I’ve got a Mac Pro, the “trash can” one with no expandability and it’s four years old. My Apple Care warranty ran out last year.
I always replace my Pro machines after the Apple Care runs out, and I can’t do it now because there’s no new machines to buy!
I can’t use an iMac as I have two 30” Dell monitors, one for my apps, the other for the tools and palettes, and an iMac has an integral display, one I can’t use.
I don’t want a cube, the Mini, as I need Xeon servers and error correcting RAM.
I use my Mac for my profession and I’m on it sometimes 12 hours a day.
Everyone I know who used to use Pro Macs have switched to HP, Lenovo or Dell workstations, but my entire workflow is Mac and has been for the last 25 years.
I cannot stand how Apple has so completely abandoned the Pro market!

My windows PC had a lot of bang to it...bang the side, bang the top, bang the front...still wouldnt work right.
